Our Border Terriers are from Champion Bloodlines of British imports and Canadian stock. Our Borders are shown to their Canadian Championship and when time allows us we enter selected American shows.
Before our Border Terriers enter our breeding program they have to be of sound temperament, and overall, be in “great health”, not just health tested for Hips, Heart and Eyes.
We have been owned by Border Terriers since Jan 14th 1994. Our kennel is situated on 5 acres south east of Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. We are a small hobby breeding kennel, producing one to two litters per year.
Carole is a member of the Canadian Kennel Club, Natural Rearing Breeders Association, Border Terrier Canada, Border Terrier Club of Ontario and Western Border Terrier Group. She is also Manitoba’s representative for the CBTW (Canadian Border Terrier Welfare). Our Borders are first, and foremost, our loving companions.
Tazma/Taz, June 8, 2002
Sire and Dam: Farmway Harrier X CH. Happytime Bell Too.
Two, Best Puppy In Group was awarded to Tazma in her first two shows. Her sire is an English import. Both her parents are pet therapy dogs. Tazma’s disposition is incredible. She’s sensitive, affectionate, friendly and lovable. She is the alpha dog in the pack as well as the fairness monitor. She makes sure everyone gets along and is most accepting of any dog that comes over for a visit or an overnight stay. She is a real sweetheart and her puppies have taken on her disposition. At 8 years old Tazma has been retired from our breeding program and enjoying her retirement at home babysitting Tanna and Minnie’s puppies.
Minnie, March 22, 2005
Sire and Dam: Ch. Happytime Sam X Ch. Happytime Raz A Ma Taz.
Minnie is our first home grown bitch and was originally sold as a show/breeding bitch. Minnie hates the show ring, she’d rather be home keeping the varmints out of her play area. Even a hole in one’s jeans will peak her curiosity, she’ll stick her nose in the hole to make sure one hasn’t brought a varmint in the house. She’s playful; funny, loves cuddling and sweet natured just like her mom. She’s a great brood bitch; very loving with her puppies and when Tanna has her litters Minnie likes to help nurse them, with Tanna's blessing.
Tucker, March 31, 2008
Sire and Dam: Farmway Harrier X Boldwind Kiera.
In Oct, 2008 at 7 months old Tucker started his show career, he was given a fright and like his mom, he wasn’t to keen of the show ring until he met Jim McGriskin, his handler. The love and trust he has in Jim has made him the showman he is today. Tucker is a multi group winner just like his Uncle Tigger. Tucker is full of energy, sensitive, can be cautious, inquisitive, sweet natured, affectionate to those he loves and the class clown. His canine family lets him get away with more prank jokes then most are allowed.
Bristle, August 8, 2010
Sire and Dam: Ch. Boldwind Star Attraction X Ch. Boldwind Solo Star.
At 8 month old Bristle became a Can. Champion. She is the granddaughter of Tigger, Tazma and Tanna. She has many of their qualities; she’s intelligent, affectionate, obedient and playful. She’s sensitive, cautious, sweet natured and loves to rough house with Tucker and Tazma. At the moment she is the baby of the family, but don’t tell her that, she thinks she’s rules the roost, her canine family let her away with everything and chuckle at her when she’s not looking. She’s our next brood bitch and we look forward to the litters she’ll be producing for us.
Isla April 11, 2014
Sire & Dam; Ch Ganymede’s Alchemist x Ch Picer Wotta Conundrum (GBR)
As a 4 month old puppy Isla won BBPISS at her first unofficial dog show and is a Multi group placer. She became a Champion at the age of 10 months old and a Grand Champion just under two years old. Isla is a loving little girl who is confident and very much prey driven. She has a very keen eye and sees everything that moves in the yard, day or night. She thinks the whole world revolves around her and loves her human companions as well as puppies. She is intelligent and loves strutting her stuff in the show rings, and, at home she enjoys just being a dog. She is clear on all of her health tests.
Chilly Dec 12, 2015
Sire & Dam; Am/Can Champion Boldwind Naturally X Can Champion Ruffpups Five Star At Boldwind
On the day, Chilly turned 6 months old she was entered in her first dog show. She came home with 2 BPIS, 2 group 4th, 1 group 2nd, and, a New Champion. At 8 months, she became a Grand Champion. Also, at 8 months, she was entered in her first Canadian Border Terrier National Specialty, Regional BT Specialty and All terrier Specialty, she came home with an Award of Merit, 2 Best In Sweeps and Best Canadian Bred In Sweeps. This girl was on fire; she loves the conformation ring! She is confident, sweet, loving, nosy, busy, intelligent and always game. We look forward to litters she’ll be producing for us; once she is of age and her health tests are all cleared.
